ACE/PACE (Adolescents in a Caring Environment/Pre-Adolescents in a Caring Environment) Program: is an after school and summer program for students who are experiencing academic and behavioral difficulties.

ACE/PACE is a prevention program designed to direct at-risk youth to a healthier course in life before inappropriate behaviors become lifetime habits. Children ages 6-16 are eligible for ACE/PACE. The program is for youth and families who need extra support and guidance.

What Happens at ACE/PACE?

During the school year, youth arrive at the Y.E.S. House every day after school. Each student participates in study time with access to tutors.  Students are asked to bring a daily assignment sheet with a weekly grade sheet. ACE/PACE operates throughout the summer to bring continuity and support to children and families.

In addition to study time, youth participate in recreational activities (field trips, arts and crafts) as well as serve and learn community projects, and individual and group education. Education covers topics such as: self-esteem, anger management, conflict resolution, life and coping skills, etc. Parents are asked to meet with the program staff once a week to discuss program goals and the progress of their child.

Many families in today’s world undergo an enormous amount of stress and endure many difficult situations. We are here to help you. If you need information or would like to refer a child to the ACE/PACE Program, please do not hesitate to call the Program Coordinator at (307)682-4184.
