Grant Manager - Full-time

Candidate should have experience in managing federal, state and private grants. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in grant writing and programs evaluation/outcome monitoring is preferred. Position requires self-motivation and ability to work independently.

  1. Grant management of federal, state, and foundation grants and assuring grant compliance.
  2. Handle grants reporting.
  3. Program outcomes monitoring.
  4. Grant writing of small grants that are not complex.
  5. Knowledge of general financial accounting.
  6. Communication with local and state stakeholders in representing the agency and programs.
  7. The ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
  8. Computer Literacy:  Knowledge and expertise in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and print/publishing programs.
  9. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

YHDP Project Manager - Full-time

The Project Manager will help to build, implement, and oversee the projects under Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP).

Minimum GED or High School Diploma and be at least 21 years of age. At least two years’ experience in youth services. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage YHDP grant by obtaining grant objectives and meeting outcomes, collaborating with stakeholders and developing the YHDP team, and performing other duties as needed.
2. Ensure YHDP data is collected and program evaluations are completed.
3. Maintain compliance with HUD regulations for YHDP grant.
4. Complete grant reports within required time-frames.
5. Team support and flexibility as needed.
6. Schedule and participate in on-call staff for Transitional Living Program.
7. Work with Youth Action Board weekly or more as needed to help build infrastructure and training in best practices.
8. Homeless Data Information System data entry and report utilization.
9. Participate in calls, meetings, and webinars as required for the YHDP grant.
10. Other duties as assigned.
11. Ensure the Agency’s mission, policies and procedures are followed.
12. Follow all rules/policies of Youth Emergency Services, Inc.

Learn and Grow Youth Advocate - Part-time

Are you energetic, outgoing, creative, and really love kids?

If you are looking for the most fun job you will ever have, then look no further. The Y.E.S. House is looking for staff to work in an after school/summer program for elementary students. Part-time shifts are Monday through Friday. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Plan activities that align with STEM goals that are engaging to children K‐ 6th.
2. Development of STEM curriculum aligned with career pathways that ensure the integration of academic and career technical education with 21st century skills.
3. Encourage participation and the execution of creative and innovative ideas during various building activities.
4. Plan for engaging activities that foster creativity and incorporate individual learning styles.
5. Model leadership qualities to older children acting as building captains and help younger youth with the understanding of various project concepts.
6. Assist or lead activities and plan alongside other staff.
7. Maintain the children’s attention while staff is transitioning activities.
8. Work as assigned with school districts, community organizations, government agencies, parents, students, and/or staff.
9. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

You must be 21 years of age; have a High School Diploma/GED; valid driver's license with no more than two traffic citations in the last three years; and be able to pass drug screen and background check.

Residential Youth Advocate - Part-time

The Y.E.S. House is seeking a Part-time Youth Advocate committed to working with adolescents 10-18 years old in our residential programs. We are looking for a positive role model; experience working with adolescents and a desire to help them succeed and overcome obstacles in their lives. Responsible for the safety of the clients; administering medications; offering emotional support; creating a homelike atmosphere in the house; and transporting clients to and from their appointments and activities.

Shifts would include evenings and weekends. 10-30 hours per week based on your availability. $1.50/hour differential provided during weekend shifts.

Must be at least 21 years of age; have a High School Diploma/GED; have valid driver's license with no more than two traffic citations in the last three years; and be able to pass drug screen and background check.
