Education Program: On Site School, Grades 7 – 12

The Y.E.S. House Education Program is fully approved by the Wyoming Department of Education. We began our education services in response to students who need a highly structured, individualized and supportive educational setting. We serve junior and senior high students who have been placed by the court in our treatment program.  Through our Memorandum of Agreement with the Campbell County School District, we also provide services to students who are recommended by the school district to our program.  While we serve elementary, junior and senior high students who have been placed by the court in our  treatment programs, we also accept students who are recommended by the school district. Referred students often are experiencing behavioral and/or academic problems that prevent them from succeeding in larger, more traditional settings.

Students in our program receive specialized assistance to meet their educational needs. Classes and curriculum are coordinated for each student with his/her school of origin. Education plans are reviewed and/or developed to maximize success for each individual student.
The student education program includes Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Life Skills, Arts and Humanities.

Our life skills course focuses on helping students develop skills in areas that will help them become productive citizens of society. Topics include problem solving skills, setting personal goals, nutrition, budgeting, etc. Students also participate in special activities including holiday celebrations and an arts festival.

Daily Schedule

Classes are conducted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with lunch provided by the Y.E.S. House. All students are required to stay on the grounds during lunch break. Class times may be adapted to individual student needs.

Summer Program

Our education program also offers a summer program. Students are provided the opportunity to obtain course credit in subjects in which they may be behind. Studies are focused on providing reinforcement for students in areas where they might be deficient. Other student activities are centered on community service projects.
