Specialized Foster Care: the least restrictive living arrangement for youth who cannot currently live with their families.

While in Foster Care, youth will experience healthy family relationships, positive communication styles, and they are encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions and the directions in which their lives progress. Youth are also taught Independent Living skills and are encouraged and assisted with future higher education or employment plans.

The goal of the Foster Care Program is family reunification. When this goal cannot be reached, the goal then becomes to develop a permanency plan that allows the youth to continue to live in a family environment. Our Foster Care Program encompasses the least restrictive environment for youth who do not need residential care or have completed our treatment programs.

The Y.E.S. House will provide Foster Parents with:
  • 24-hour on-call support
  • On-going training
  • Weekly meetings with the Coordinator
  • Therapy for youth and families
  • Financial compensation
  • Respite care
